I am having trouble if anyone can help me. I am using new acrobat x and created a portfolio. When I export it as a webpage and save the files to my desktop and try to open it to view it, I get a blank screen (except for layout and files in the top left hand corner.) Then I load everything in my FTP type in the URL and it says I have to install adobe flash, which is already installed. Is anyone having the same problems?
 
Also, I notice I can not access Portfolio exchange. I click on the different tabs for layouts and themes, I get blanks...not sure if this is me or not?

When you export a PDF Portfolio to a website it generates a series of SWF and XML files which need to read each other - that's fine on a server, but if you open the HTML file locally your Flash Player security model will block the requests.

The trick is to create a trusted folder on your hard drive (using the Flash Player security settings manager) and put your Portfolio web pages in there. Once you've made a trusted folder, any subfolders beneath it are also trusted.If you're seeing an error about needing Flash Player than you either have JavaScript disabled in your browser, or you're using an old version of Player. To run the SWFs exported by Acrobat X Portfolios you need FP10.


... and yes, the Portfolio Exchange is offline at the moment while some of the AUC site is updated, but it should be back soon.
