How To Search Multiple Portfolios

I archive MS Outlook emails into multiple PDF portfolios and looking for a way to search for emails across more than one or all my portfolios. Anyone know if this is possible? I tried using MS Desktop Search but I can't get it to read into the portfolios to find the PDF emails.

Acrobat Standard 9.1.3, Windows
