iFilter and Portfolio problems?

Hi Folks!

Trying to find out if this is a known issue.

iFilter (the embedded dlls that allow Microsoft Windows Desktop Search to do string searches within PDF files) works wonderfully with plain ole PDF files, but seems to have problems searching within portfolio PDF files.

I have tried reinstalling the latest adobe reader 9.1 to make sure I have the latest iFilter options.

Is anyone else having this issue? I would love for us to press forward using portfolios, but am hesitant if we cant use Desktop Search against them.

Wanted to let everyone know that I reinstalled Reader (which I assume updated the appropriate dll file(s))

and the native windows desktop search started working beautifully. I would recommend reinstalling reader (with a reboot after) if you are ever experiencing difficulties.
