Hi,
I feel kinda dumb for not being able to find this on my own but how can I link text in one document to another inside of one portfolio.

Inside the 6 page portfolio, pfd 1 is all text and I would like to link keywords to open specific other pdf.

Thanks in advance to whomever can help me.

The simplest way is to use a link to a page view - draw your rectangle with the linking tool, choose "go to page view" from the popup, then navigate to where you want it to go. You can select any of the files within your Portfolio (irrespective of folders) and pick a page or part of a page in a PDF, but can't pick a specific place in a non-PDF document such as a Word file.

Such a simple thing to do, I wish it had been labeled clearer by adobe so that it wouldn't have taken so long for me to figure out.

In response to UVSAR's answer; can you do this in Acrobat Professional 8? I need to create a hyperlink in one PDF to a specific location in another PDF. Is this doable in Professional 8? Or at least hyperlink to a folder? I've spent alot of time at work trying to figure it out and haven't yet. I just assumed that Acrobat does not have this feature.

I have had some trouble getting links to "stick" after adding them. When I use the link tool (actually, I have been highlighting a few words, right clicking and selecting Create Link, then choosing the Page View and going to the appropriate page and setting link), the link will work for the session. After I close the document and return to it later, the link doesn't work anymore. I still get the arrow changing to a hand when I pass over the words that are suppose to have the link but the action doesnt follow through. Both documents are in the same portfolio, both documents are Word Docs converted to pdf and my text that I am linking from is in the header. Why are my links not sticking?
