Opening 8.0 Packages in 9.0

I recently was upgraded to 9.0 Pro. Having used 8.0 Pro for sometime, I have created numerous pdf packages which now reside in a SP document library. The majority of these packages also had a coversheet created by checking the option to create from the first file.

However, now I am unable to see these coversheets in 9.0. This is a problem as we need the summary data on the coversheet for audit trial. There has to be a setting to allow us to view the old coversheets, but I'm not having any luck. Any ideas??

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.0, Windows

Ok, I've played with this some more and found a way to access the cover sheet after opening another piece of the package (View - Portfolio - Coversheet). But the coversheet is still an issue, as it is not part of the file. For example, if I combine a package created in 8.0 the coversheet does not carry over...it disappears. Is there a way to copy the coversheet into the portfolio as a file (did it lose it's file name once tagged as the coversheet)?

While I've resolved the viewing issue for myself, I create and maintain documents for a larger group and need to consider how other users are going to react to the new format before converting them to 9.0 (ideally finding a fix first).

I should add a disclaimer here...I'm not a programmer (that's probably pretty obvious) so going into scripts, etc is likely out the question.
