Our Legal Department is in the beginning stages of using Acrobat Portfolio's for organizing case documentation. I can see a portfolio rapidly growing in size. Are there things we need to consider in regards to the size of portfolios in storing, sharing, emailling and transporting portfolios?

Thanks much!

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.3.1, Windows

the participants on this forum respond well when the question is framed in precise terms, but not so well when the question is broad and multifaceted. generally, there is no need to "organize case documents" using acrobat's portfolio feature, when the windows file system provides robust tools for the purpose. as to the limits that may apply to the size of a portfolio, please let us know what it is when you reach it.

While I'm an EZ Pass user of the file system myself, I have to disagree with Reid when it comes to Portfolios.
Getting your EZ Pass to your file system is significant.
However, assembling and transferring focused "information packages" that support collaborative activities is something else.
Portfolios provide added value for this.

But, when engaging in a new methodology, making a study of it provides a success precursor.

For Portfolios, this is a useful article.

Just as the legal profession sees potential in Portfolios so too does the education profession.
A sampling of how, like legal, education assembles focused topics (cases, if you will) with sub-topics is available here:

While the topic focus is certainly different from legal, it may serve as a portal to the possibilities.
