My question is:

Can a background image or the header for your portfolio contain a sound element?

I am thinking of having a mp3 playing while the the user scrolls through the pdf's within the portfolio enviroment itself. I realise you can add individual multimedia pdf's, but I would like a controlable player of sorts in the layout area.

thanks in advance.

In the standard Acrobat X PDF Portfolio layouts, headers can only contain bitmap images or text blocks - they cannot display user-selected SWF or rich media elements.

You could do it by writing a custom layout (using Flex and the Portfolio SDK) but that's a mountain of work.

Thanks for the prompt response, I'll have to think of another way to'Jazz' up custom layouts.
