Setting Initial view in PDF Portfolio

I am creating a PDF Portfolio and have several PNG files added, however, after setting the initial view to 100% in Portfolio Properties the pdf always opens up at "Fit Page" size. Is it not possible to set initial zoom size when creating a PDF Portfolio?

Another thing I noticed was that after opening the PDF and then changing the view to 100%, if I click next to view the next file in the Portfolio, the view resets to "Fit Page". This is rather annoying when I have 10 PNGs and want to view all at 100% and have to reselect the zoom to 100% each time. The zoom is reset to "Fit Page" every time.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.4, Macintosh

What are the default view settings for the individual PDFs?

Have you tried setting the default magnification of each PDF before putting them in the Package?

The question relates specifically to display of non-PDF member files, for which "initial view" is meaningless.

See the original question on Adobe.com for a detailed answer.

Yea thanks anyhow.

Wonder why this option is not available, should be easy to implement. Even when I manually change the zoom, everytime i view the next file the zoom defaults back to "Fit Page".

Because Acrobat/Reader uses a helper app on the user system to open many of these files and may not have knowledge of how to manipulate the helper application. For example one user may have MS Office 2000, another OpenOffice.org 3.2, and another both MS Office 2010 and OpenOffice.org 3.4.

When creating a portfolio, I would like to define the “sub-file” to appear in the initial opening pane. Steps: create PDF portfolio, select list with file preview, drag files into pane, order files by entering numbers into description column, select Specify File Display – initial sort Description, highlight subfile with description 1, select publish. When I reopen the file, it is not on the subfile I have selected (description 1). How can I define which file within the portfolio to show upon opening of the portfolio file - without renaming the subfiles.

@hall3000: All is (hopefully) explained in this blog post.
