Showing the comment toolbar in a portfolio

I have looked everywhere and cannot find an answer as to how you can get the comment toolbar to show up in a portfolio. It is really annoying to have to constantly have to click on the menu to highlight and markup a document in a portfolio, and I am hoping there is some way to open the toolbar (even if it is just floating)

I found this article: Creating Custom Portfolios ( http://layersmagazine.com/acrobat-9-creating-custom-portfolios.php ) which indicates you can do this, but I for the life of me cannot find an option to make it happen.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated...

The Acrobat toolbars are all disabled in portfolio mode, but re-appear if you open a member document (using the tear-off "OPEN" button on the top right). If you have your comment tools docked to the toolbar stack, they will show when you open the document, and vanish again when you go back to PF mode. If the comment tools are floating, of course they won't.

Following the advice above, with just one commenting, it automatically switches back to the portfolio mode again which is pretty annoying.
1. Why toolbar is not provided in portfolio mode itself?
2. How to prevent automated switching back to portfolio mode after each commenting? I would like to goto portfolio mode manually when I am done commenting of complete document in tear-off "Open" mode.
3. Where is the manual button to go back to portfolio mode from tear off open mode?
