Is there a way to explicitly define fields in a .PPT that I want Acrobat Standard 9 (or Pro) to autodetect (as form fields)?

Hi there,
Is there a way to explicitly define fields in a .PPT that I want Acrobat Standard 9 (or Pro) to autodetect (as form fields)?

The reason being that the document will keep getting modified in .PPT format before being finalised in PDF format.

While this happens I want to avoid rework by recreating form fields again and again.

At the moment it seems that the autodetection picks up red-coloured borders as an example - but in my case I want to have slightly fainter colours - or even transparent boxes to be picked up by the autodetection (and turned into form fields).

Is this possible?
If it is then I can get the graphic designer to make all changes in one .ppt document and still retain the form fields for me to pick up when using acrobat.

I am hoping there will be an explicit way to do this, because relying on the OCR doesn't help in my case.

PS I was just reading about PDF Portfolios - if I added the PPT into a Portfolio would this be a way to be able to make changes to the PPT, and still retain the form fields?

Thanks,
George

Here is a tutorial that gives some background on Designing forms for auto field detection in Adobe Acrobat.

If you want to make minor changes to your PPT file and still retain the form fields, you can use the Replace Pages feature in Acrobat to do this. This will replace the underlying "page" and leave the form field intact.
