Hello All,
I am unsure if the following is possible:
I want to be able to navigate to and from the portfolio Welcome Screen using breadcrumbs or a tree or some type of omnipresent navigation.
The problem I have with the way portfolios currently seem to work is that when I open an embedded PDF, navigation back to where I was is gone in favor of the navigation contained in the embedded PDF.
In order to get back to the Welcome Page, clients have to push the "home" button at the top of Reader (or, if the "Return to Welcome Screen" button is available, clients can use that).
I want to have Universal Navigation, so that I can get back to the Welcome Page no matter what document is opened.
Is this doable? Do I need to use JavaScript for Acrobat? Is there a way to do it with Flash or InDesign?
Any suggestions, places to look for help, or insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
edsager
Acrobat X retains a little more of the navigator in that you can view the contents of some types of files directly on the card faces, but the same applies - opening a document within the Portfolio hands you back to the normal interface.
