I've now got the solution to Droplet feature fails to work properly on Acrobat 8.1.2 Pro. Its a Macintosh only problem resolved by going toTechNote kb403208 in the Adobe knowledgebase. The Callas Preflight plug-in has to be updated as outlined there.
Despite creating Droplets using both existing and custom profiles, I create the droplet on the desktop but nothing happens when I drop the files ontop of the droplet.
The droplet works when incorporate into a batch sequence, however ... what am I doing wrong? Help.
You're not doing anything wrong. I've had the same experience where a droplet won't work on the desktop but works fine from within a batch file.
If I have the time, I rebuild the droplet, sometimes a couple of times, and it may work. Otherwise, I use it through a batch file.
