Acrobat 8 print problems

I have recently installed CS3 suit onto Mac OX Tiger on a G5 imac.
Before I was using Acrobat 7 but since the upgrade I find that all my fonts pixelate when I print from acrobat 8. I have tryed to reinstall fonts used on each specific document but this makes no difference.

I also find that exporting from Quark 6.1 to Acrobat professional 8 leaves me the following message "the postscript driver has not responded for 60 seconds".

Can you help?

Hi Karen,

If you now run CS3 and have Acrobat 8 with Tiger then you need Panther:

Also, exporting from Quark 6.1 uses the Global Graphics PDF engine (not any Adobe technology) so we cannot help here.

Update to Panther and then generate a PDF via the PRINT command in Quark (using the Acrobat 8 engine) for a bonafide Adobe PDF file ..

Regards,

Jon

I've been using Acrobat since v1.0 and still get amazed by its power. An Acrobat ACE since 1999

Did I say Panther - yes ... what I meant was indeed Tiger so long as you're running Tiger 10.4.3 then everything's good, if not then patch to the latest version (10.4.10) ..

I am having the same problem, in fact four of our mac's are having the same problem.

We are on G5's & intel. All systems are updated to OS 10.4.11, but acrobat (professional) won't print anything from the pdf, or it will only print the first page. We have 6 different printers, and it does the same across all printers. Is this a Acrobat CS3 problem?
