Acrobat 8 shuts down when I try to print

I've just got a new computer. Vista Business with Acrobat 8 standard. Acrobat shuts down every time I try to print. Every other app works with my printer. Could this have anything to do with the DEP-Data Execution Prevention? Any help is appreciated.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8, Windows

Acrobat 8.0 is not compatible with Windows Vista. Acrobat was ereleased prior to the Vista release. Look for a mainentance upgrade from Adobe when Adobe makes Acrobat compatible with Vista and Office 2007.

I'd been using Acrobat Professional 8 under Vista just fine. I updated to 8.1, and now the program freezes up after about 30 seconds. Any ideas?

I would recommend deinstalling Acrobat, then reinstall and run the patch for 81. See if that solves the problem.
