Acrobat Reader 9.3 and IE 8.0 on Windows 7 64 bit will not print, and shuts down IE 8. It does the same thing on IE 7.0. Tested this on2 workstations. Any idea?

My Product Information:

Does Reader 9.3 print outside of the browser? Did such printing of PDF from Reader within a browser work in Reader 9.2.x or 9.1.x or 9.0.x?

Yes Acrobat 9.3 prints fine in other applications, only the browser plug-in seems to be the problem. I have not tried a previous version.

Thus, Reader 9.3 was the first version you used. It wasn't an update from 9.2.x?

For better or worse, we haven't experienced this type of problem here at Adobe with Windows 64-bit, IE8, and 9.3.1.

What type of printer are you printing to? (Model, etc.)

Printer is HP 4100 on a network connection. The program does the same with FoxFire. Also, PDF's fail when an attachment to an e-mail. The printer selection box never opens in any of the scenarios.

Are you using the printer in PCL mode or Postscript (emulation) mode?

If PCL, try its PostScript mode.

Also, see if there are any newer drivers available fro HP.
