Acrobat won't print to HP3180

I installed a newly purchased copy of Acrobat 9 Pro.
I am now unable to print from either Acrobat or Reader to my HP 3180 printer.
I continue to be able to print e.g. Word documents, or simple .txt files.

When I attempt to print from Acrobat, the printer will feed a page about 4 inches, and then simply stop.

I have installed the full version of the HP printer drivers, no help.

Thanks for any clues.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.3.1, Windows

What OS are you running? What Reader version do you also have installed? Do you see any change if you select "Print as Image" from the Advanced portion of the Acrobat print menu?

I am running Windows XP Professional; Adobe Reader 9.3.1, and Acrobat Pro 9.3.1
If I select "Print as Image" I encounter the same problem: a blank sheet is fed into the HP 3180 printer, just to the position where the print cartridge seems poised to begin printing, and then ALL STOP.

In the "Advanced" section in the Acrobat print dialog box. Under the PostScript Options panel, select "Send for Each Page" under Font and Resource Policy to see if it corrects the problem.
