I'm using an HP Photosmart 8250 printer. And version 9 of Adobe reader.
When i want to print a pdf file (from internet and saved up my pc) i get an error. "Can not print pages", "no pages selected".

Can anyone help me, please?

I have WindowsXP, Adobe Reader 9.1, an Epson Stylus CX7800 printer/scanner, and I use Mozilla Fire Fox as my default browser. I can print any document or jpeg that is not in a pdf format. I cannot print any pdf file, even when I try "Print As Image." The two error messages I always get is "The document cannot be printed" and "No Page Has Been Selected To Print" even though I've tried "print all" and "print current page." I've also tried "Select All" and "Copy" to a Word.doc and clipboard, and none of the formatting makes it to the new docs. Pdf Properties for the files I have been trying to print indicate that both "Copy" and "Print" functions are "Allowed."

I have this same error of not printing. I have WindowsXP, Adobe Reader 9.3, an HPLJ4200. I cannot print any pdf file. The two error messages I always get is "The document cannot be printed" and "No Page Has Been Selected To Print".
I think the Adobe Reader installation is corrupted.

I tried to uninstall V9.3 and it wont uninstall now.
The error message is :
This patch could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer patch package.

I’m going home. . . . . .

CorpDavid --

I had exactly the same problem with Reader 9.3 -- it wouldn't print, and it wouldn't uninstall.

Just found the solution.

Microsoft's Windows Installer Cleanup Utility will uninstall Reader 9.3, and then a new installation worked fine. I've printed only one page from the new installation, but it's back the way it used to be.

The Installer Cleanup Utility is discussed and can be downloaded here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

I was having a similar problem with Acrobat 9 not printing and continuing to give an error message as it shut down. I reinstalled it but that gave me another error addressing a security leak, that needs to be dealt with as time permits.

I downloaded the latest reader X and for some reason the problem is solved, at least on the trial print I just did.

I am using Adobe Acrobat X Standard, Windows XP, and trying to print a ARCH D size drawing to a Canon Color Plotter and just received the message, "This document cannot be printed." Then another message, "No pages were selected."

Does anyone have a solution? HELP.
