Banding in Gradations
I'm using Freehand to create illustrations, that have gradations in them going form color to color. To create the gradations I’m using process colors CMYK. For print I'm converting them to a PS post script file and then using distiller on the "High Quality Print" to convert it. In the PDF you can see banding in the gradation and gaps.
Do you know a way to stop the banding in the gradations after I convert this to a PDF file — Thanks

As I recall, you can go to the File menu and export to PDF via a submenu command. You can also print to Poscript and use Acrobat Distiller. You might try one of the methods for PDF creation that you're not using now and see if that solves the banding problem.
Also, FreeHand commonly shows a display on screen different than the results you'll find in the printed file. Altough the file appears banded in Acrobat, it is likely to print with a smooth gradation.
