Hello all,
I have a pdf with Bitmap images.
I convert the pdf to postscript file (to be used with the distiller 8.1.2) and the new pdf file (created with the distiller) has Image mask in place of Bitmap image.
Do you know why Adobe 8.1.2 (and older) converts the Bitmap image to Image mask? Or a setting to prevent the conversion.
My problem is that when I have big file with Image mask, Adobe leaks memory and the file is not correctly created (the last pages are blank).
In the postscript file there is the operator "/O 1" which convert the image to Image mask. When I replace the operator "/O 1" with the operator "/O 2", I have a normal image...
Kind regards,
Joël
I cannot specifically answer your question about the memory leak and make a mask as such but do pose a question to you - why are you re-frying an intelligent PDF back to an ancient page description language and then re-generating the PDF again?
There is surely an easier way to process your information without jumping throug hoops?
Best regards,
Jon
I've been using Acrobat since v1.0 and still get amazed by its power. An Acrobat ACE since 1999
