I just upgraded to adobe acrobat 8.0 from 6.0. I have a co-worker on 6.0. For some time both of us had bookmarks automatically created when we file printed to a pdf file.

Now none are generated. Any suggestions on how to get them to auto-generate?

We were printing and not using the adobe creator.

Bookmarks are generated automatically during PDF creation from the table-of-contents entries of documents created by most desktop publishing programs. These bookmarks are often tagged and can be used to make edits in the PDF. Take a look at the tags in the source document to see it Heading, sub-headings, and etc are properly taged before conversion to PDF.
