I have d/l a pre-existing PDF file that was made with images of the pages at 3.86 x 5.35 inch.
When I try to print out single pages, this size is printed rather than a full sheet of 8.5 x 11.00 inch paper. I've tried 'printing' it to a new file using the Adobe printer; with no difference. I've also looked at different settings in properties, also with no difference.
I did notice in properties that the default paper size is 5.5 x 7.95. How can I change the 'default' size for printing purposes. I am using a Brother printer and Adobe 9.0 Pro.
Thanks
[NOTE: Just reviewed my posting and see it says I registered 12-31-1969. Why??? It is 2009; not 1969?????????
Something to try.
When you print to your Brother printer look for a Page Scaling (or something similar) setting.
Select "Fit to Printable Area".
A resampled JPEG (500 x 375 pixels) provides a 1.67 x 1.25 inch page size when it is converted to PDF.
When I designate my attached Epson Printer for the print job & I select "Fit to Printable Area" for Page Scaling in the Print dialog
the image all but fills the letter size paper selected.
Be well...
