Cannot Print pdf to network drive

I can print pdf to my local drive every time, but when i want to print to a shared network drive i get the following message and a '*.log' document. I am using the print icon, choosing the Adobe printer and saving it to a network drive. Please help.
 
"Acrobat could not open '(filename).log' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)'"
 
"To create an adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document to Adobe PDF."
