I am using Acrobat Professional 7.0.9.
Since a few days I have the following problem:
When I open a PDF-document all is ok. Then e.g. if I zoom the document or print it, the distance between the characters within the document is changed and the document is nearly unreadable as well on the screen as on the output.
This happens with all true type fonts.
How can I solve this problem ?
You don't mention what OS you're using but if it's any of the newer 64-bit Windows versions you'll need to upgrade to Acrobat 8.1 (this is the first version to support them).
If you're on an earlier version this may be a problem with embedding TrueType fonts. The Adobe PDF printer uses the Adobe PostScript printer driver (AdobePS); however, you must configure AdobePS to send TrueType fonts as Native TrueType fonts to preserve their appearance and to prevent them from being substituted with Type 1 fonts.
