I am using Acrobat 9.0 Pro. Is it possible to collate a 1400 page document that will take 1 sequential page and insert it every 14 pages from a 100 page document. What I want to end up with is a variable data printed page inserted after every 14 pages. (A 14 page federal K-1 with a letter attached, file has 100 K-1s).

Thanks

I understand that you have a 1400-page document comprised of 100 14-page segments (K-1s) and that you want to insert sequentially each page of a 100-page document 'after' each 14-pg segment. On a one-off you can manually insert each page of the 100 pg set in 20-30 minutes. Here's how: first, insert (append) the 100-pg set at the end of the 1400-pg set -- creating a 1500-page doc. Next, with thumbnails displayed drag the last page (pg 1500) to position 'after' pg 1400 -- the key is to work with the last page and drag it to the desired positon. (You should still have 1500 pages) Next, drag the new last page to position 'after' pg 1386. Next, drag the last page to position 'after' pg 1372. And so on, until you have repositioned all the 100 pages. (You still have 1500 pages, right?) In future you may be able to simplify this situation by starting with 100 14-pg docs and 100 1-pg docs and combining all files using the 'create pdf from multiple files' feature. If I regularly needed to combine thousands of pages and sets, I'd concoct a script and do it in a few minutes.
