Re 16 bit color, thanks again Ted. So, in our two experiments, with the same images from Photoshop tiff files, #1 converted to PDF by Photoshop and #2 converted in Acrobat 6, both printed from Reader, the only reason there is a difference in printing from Reader is that those created in Photoshop are higher resolution? To my picky eyes, I see more shades of color.

I would examine the conversion as a starting point. Something might have gone on with converting the file to PDF. What exactly did you use to convert to PDF using Acrobat.
