Distiller 6 into 7

Does Adobe PDF settings for distiller 6 works on 7.0 or they need to be recreated from scratch? In our next netboot image using MacOS 10.4.9 we are just going to have only Adobe Professional 7.0. For example in the color tab in pdf settings on 7, Do I need to check for Preserve CMYK values for calibrated color spaces? Also in the Advanced tab Can I check Convert smooth lines to curves? Or is it better just better to take our current pdf settings load them into 7, create new hot folders and don’t worry about the rest?

You will need to recreate the .JOBOPTIONS files. Unfortunately Adobe did not provide an upgrade utility for any of the external configuration files.
