Hi Matt,

Here are a few official Adobe tech docs that discuss embedding fonts and what problems can occur if you don't.

I just started using Acrobat X and Word 2010. I'm writing a book in 6"X9" page-size format, and I use lots of font types. Okay, I successfully "printed" my doc as a PDF (pdf/x-1a2001), with the hope of having all my fonts embedded. The conversion worked, but only two of my fonts were embedded. I tried it again, and the PDF came up as an 8.5"X11" doc, but ALL of the fonts were embedded. Weird. But I want all of the fonts embedded, and the page size format to stay at 6"X9". HELP!!!

Writing is hard work!
