Error printing to Brother Laser HL 1230

I have just installed Adobe Reader 8. When I print to my Brother HL 1230 Laser Printer, all the lines are printed, but no text. Adobe Reader v 7 had the same problem, but v 6 worked fine in this regard. I actaully upgraded from v6 to v 8. Any Ideas?
 
I am running the reader on windows XP SP 2

Sounds like a printer driver issue. Are you using the current version of the printer driver for that printer?
