Answered

Hi,

I may be completely stupid but I cannot find a way to automatically Hide/Minimize Acrobat PitStop after viewing a PDF file - I am using the PC version on a Mac.

I don't want to close the file and then have to hide/minimise Acrobat as well.

HELP!!!

Any solutions gratefully received :-)

Is PitStop showing up as a floating panel after closing the file? If so, with a PDF open, you can drag the PitStop tools to the top of the screen (with the other Acrobat tools) or onto your right Scroll bar, to dock them vertically.

Hi Kelly,

thanks for getting back to me so quickly, but I actually wanted to hide (or minimize) Acrobat PitStop as an automatic step when closing a PDF, rather than docking the tools.

I don't know if this can be done, you'll have to check with the folks at Enfocus...

Well I seem to have stumbled across the answer - if you have a PDF file already open but minimised, then every time you open a new PDF file and close it, Pitstop will minimise as well.
So now I keep a stock PDF file I can open at the beginning of each day (and keep open) so that Acrobat Pitstop will minimise all by itself :-)

Colleen, thanks for the follow-up. I'm sorry I didn't make that clearer. I was suggesting that you dock the PitStop tools to a window, that way when you close the file the tools close (or hide) with it. I haven't looked at PitStop in a wile, so maybe I was off on my explanation. Do the PitStop tools stay attached to only one document at a time? They should be in the same spot in every PDF you open (unless they are floating panels).

Note to Colleen, “Pitstop” is not an Adobe product, but rather, a product of Enfocus, a division of EskoArtwork. Thus, please do not refer to “Pitstop” as “Acrobat Pitstop.” Thank you!
