When I print a download the image fills the page - e.g. the real size of the image may be 2"
x3" but it fills the entire 8"X11" page. How do I get it to print the actual size. I have windows 7 and acrobat reader 9.
Thank you

It is not clear what you've downloaded.
Is it a PDF containing an image?
If so, then PDF page content (the image) was placed in the PDF by someone.
The PDF page size was established by the process used.
The PDF's page size may be viewed in the Description tab of the PDF's Document Properties
(Control + D or Command + D).

When you print to an attaced local or network printer that is the page size the OS's print routine will
pass to the selected printer driver. File content will be processed within that context.

Adobe Reader has the Snapshot tool which can be used to draw a marquee around an image.
When the mouse button is released, the image goes to Window's Clipboard.
Try pasting that into a photo editor application (even MS Paint would do).
Play with this phote editor file. Perhaps this wll faciliated printing the desired size to hardcopy.

on print dialog, find 'page scaling' (in 'page handling' section) and select 'none' (not 'fit to printable area')
