LOSS OF PRINT DATA DURING PHYSICAL PLOTTING.

I have created some A0 plots in AutoCAD 2011 using it's built in PDF creator "Adobe PDF.pc3"

This produced excellent PDF's that opened straight into Acrobat 9 and retained the Transparancy & Layer from the drawing.

The drawing displays perfectly on screen BUT when I got to make a physical plot from it both the print preview and the subsequent plot have data blocked out where other data passes over it.

Specifically I have a floorplan that has orange fading gradient leader arrows fanning out over it and these are making huge chunks of plan disappear.

If a leader in question runs at 45 degrees then the area forming a square from the extents of the 2 ends is blocked out.

You don't appear to be able post images on here as i would show an example.

I need these for a presentation so any help appreciated.

I am using Windows 7 and the printer is a canon ix4000 A3 inkjet

Sounds like an issue with transparency / layering. I assume there is probably a drop shadow or something similar on the objects that aren't printing properly

Try flattening the artwork (you can do this in preflight)

edit: I just re-read and noticed the gradient backdrop. This is 100% the problem. If you need it for a presentation, get rid of the gradient as a last resort, otherwise flattening should correct your problem
