Low Res Images When Printing

What am I missing here... I create PDF files (Acrobat 8/Win XP and Vista) which look fine.

I print them out to inkjet printers and the images are pretty much black blobs. I cannot find any settings relevant to this anywhere... either in Preferences or the Print dialog box.

I have to save as JPG, for example, and print out from another program. Then it's fine.

Can I not just print the danged page?

TIA for any guidance.

Hi,
You may want to play with the effective resolution of the image placed into the PDF.

Looking over the settings in the Preferences for Convert to PDF for JPEG and playing with them may help.

Be well...

Thanks for your time, daka630.

I doubt many others will be as stoopid as me with respect to this one, but in case someone else encounters it: "Print colour as black" was checked in the print dlg box. Unchecking fixed the problem.

Cheers.
