Hello,
I sometimes get a job that is meant to be a spot color job – Black and a Pantone ink. However, in the PDF, the Pantone ink may actually be an RGB Color or CMYK color. The objects that are paint files (jpeg) are very difficult to change. If I select them in Enfocus Inspector and convert them to a spot color, they change to a tint of that spot color, not 100% of the spot color. Is there a way I can convert these graphics to 100% of a spot color? Similarly, if there is a box with a tint of color, I can convert it to a Pantone color but I can’t control the tint for some reason. I am willing to spend some $$ for additional software. I've tried Callas PDFcolourconvert, but it does not perform that function. Crackerjack doesn't work with Acrobat 8 on a Mac, so I haven't been able to try that. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

If you have certain vector panels with an RGB value (solid in your case) and you want to map to another (PMS) then you could use either a global change or action list. This will enable you to specifically load the source colour and then stipulate the destination colour without any problems.
In regard to the bitmap issue - have you ensured you have colour management configured in the Pitstop preferences? You can now select different settings for both bitmap and vector/line art conversions - maybe this is where it's going wrong? Otherwise, there is an option to convert colour in the action lists dictionary.
Let me know how you get on,
All the best
Jon
I've been using Acrobat since v1.0 and still get amazed by its power. An Acrobat ACE since 1999
