PDF document stays in print queue

When I print to the Adobe pdf printer, the file is created fine and I can print it, email it etc... but the print queue for the Adobe pdf printer keeps the file in its queue and shows that the document status is "Error - printing". I have to go to the queue and cancel the document after the fact every time. Does anyone have an idea why this may be happening? I have reinstalled the program and it still happens. Thanks

Check to see if the following port is set correctly:
1. Open Control Panel / Printers
2. Right click on the Adobe PDF printer icon
3. Click on the PORTS tab
4. Check to see if the "Documents\*pdf - Adobe PDF Port" is selected.

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. It was set to a port COM1: with a description of Adobe which threw me off. I changed it and it is working fine. Again. Thanks for your help!

I have Acrobat X, and it has the same problem.
There is no "Documents\*pdf - Adobe PDF Port" port available in the list.
Adobe PDF is assigned to COM1.
How do I fix it?
Thanks,
