I have a user who is trying to print a pdf document and part of the doc keeps printing out in Russian instead of English. I have checked the document properties and cant find anything there or in the print properties either.

You can't change the language of something in a PDF file just by printing it!

Either the file is corrupted, or the file contains that text in a printable hidden layer for some reason.

I know exactly what you mean. Acrobat X prints out some of the pages in english, and some other pages come out entirely in jibberish (it is probably not actually russian, but some corrupted language). It happens fairly often for me. Not sure how to fix it!

Thanks, Adobe!

Apparently the language in a PDF can change, just by printing it. This continues to happen intermittently to one of my users. The really strange thing is that it will print several pages fine and then switch to something that looks like a different language. When you look closer you realize that it is just a jumble of letters and special characters. Today it printed 5 pages with these crazy words and the last page was in english. The file could not have been corrupt, because the second time we printed it, the entire document was in english.

You should check the "Creator" of those PDF files… I guess that they are not "Adobe-PDF" and created using a low-cost/free software…
