PDF not as same as customers

A customer sent me a pdf, I proofed it on my Epson 9880 and sent it back to her.
Our pdfs do not match up with each other, mainly font reflow. We are both on a Mac. I use Acrobat 9.4.3. anyone know what I'am talking about and how to fix.
