PDF printing from v 8.0

We have recently upgraded to Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Standard and Reader 8.0
There are certain PDFs which generate a printing error when I print to a HP Laserjet 4300 PS printer with a postscript printer. The erorr is
"ERROR: undefinedresult"
OFFENDING COMMAND: IMAGE

-mark-
-savelevel-
-mark-
-savelevel-
 
I can print these PDF fine via a version 7.0 or to a HP laserjet 4350 fom v 8.0.
 
Have tried updating the printer driver to the latest version but problem still exists.
 
Has anyone experienced this problem?
Please help.

If you're using the new Windows Vista operating system, read this Business Week article. It may be helpful. Rolling back to Windows XP could solve the problem.

We are using Windows 2003 on the print server and Windows XP SP2 on the desktops. Apart from the upgrade of Adobe nothing else was changes on the desktops.
