Preflight / color management droplet Acrobat 8

I am trying do create a work flow with the preflight droplet.

Everything seems to work except the preflight commands "PDF fixups". The group "convert..." has no effect on the pdf. The goal is to have an automatic color conversion based on ICC/ICM profiles.

My 2 questions:

1- The command in the preflight (fixup/convert to... (profile)) is identical to the Convert colors?

2- Can I create an automation in the droplet to convert colors to a ICC/ICM profile?

3- Is possible to apply an ICC profiles in the "save as EPS" (meaning color conversion).

1- I don't know
2- Yes
3- You always will cry over color management in that old obsolete EPS format...

I'd also notice that sometimes the preflight color conversion don't have any effect on some PDFs, I'd fixed that by applying a transparency flatenning before the color conversion.

Hi Michael,

Hope you're well?

One the first question, yes there is a difference between the Print Production/Convert Colors and the preflight fixup.

Dig around a bit deeper and you will see various different options for both incoming and output profiles and also what to color manage (images / text / vectors / all) ..

I much prefer the preflight fixup which can, as you mentioned be used as a droplet on the local workstation ..

Cheers!

Jon
