Hi

We are trying to combine several pdf files e.g. A,B,C and D into a book with 2 pages per sheet, front and back printing.
All these files have their own page numbering already.
(We just got Acrobat 8.0 professional for combining A, B, C, D to create Final.pdf in the sequence a->b->c->d.)

Need Help At This Step:
To print this combined pdf file; lets call it "Final.pdf", with page number on each printed side.

Suppose pdf file merging sequence was A->B->C->D and each has 2 pages. What are the setting to get :-
Page 1 : First Physical Page Front Side contains A1 A2
Page 2 : Back Side of First Physical Page contains B1 and B2
Page 3 : Second Physical Page Front Side contains C1 C2
and so on...

Please advise. Appreciate your help.

thanks

Do the documents only contain 2 pages each? If that's the case then you can just use the Booklet or Tiling prefs in the Print Dialog. If these options don't work, or the docs are more than 2 pages each you'll have to either write a script to manage the printing or find a 3rd party tool that does this.

I don't understand the bit about the page numbers. If a page number needs to be added to the tiled page, you'll have build a tiled PDF before the page number can be applied.
