Printer communication

When I send a pdf file to my epson stylus 1290 printer I get a communication error.This happen to both reader 8 and standard 7.
Running a macbookPro OS10.4.6 using USB direct or wireless. It does not happen when booted to XP using the same usb port.

Generally, you should find better success printing from Acrobat than some other apps on OS X. make sure your Epson is printing from Photoshop or other application you use to print documents from your Mac OS X bootup. If the connection works and you can print files in other apps, be certain to select the correct printer driver in the Print dialog box and try to print the file.

If you get an error, try printing a simple text file converted to PDF to rule out a problem with the document.
