Printing color form fields in Black.

I've looked through the forums and found a lot of "Print color as black" posted, but I had one specific to forms.

We have a black and white PDF form with about 50 form fields on a page. To make it easier on the users to see what they have entered, I want to make the form check boxes and text blue.

The problem that I am having is that when you print that form on a black/white printer, the check boxes and text is a grey scale color and a little hard to read.

I know in the Print menu, you can click the "Print Color as black" box, but is there a way to default a PDF document to always print as black without having to have the users select "Print Color as black" in the print menu.

I'll have an average of 5000 users using this form and there's no way I'm going to train the all to use the "Print Color as black" checkbox. Most of them are basic computer users that would be luck to just find the print button itself.

Developing the form on Windows Acrobat 7.1.0 Pro.

Thanks.

As PDF has been designed to have the exactly same look on paper as on the screen, there is no property for print text always black.
This will be against the concept of the PDF itself.
To print everything in black Acrobat has the option "print color as black".
But, this option is not available in Adobe Reader printing dialog and I think the 5000 users of your forms mostly will use only a Reader.

So you can try to create a form where you have all fields twice.
One colored version visbible for the screen only and one black version only visible when printing.
