Printing Comments in Adobe Reader 7

Is there a way to make all comments print in Reader 7 or 8 no matter who sent the file? This is the issue: We receive PDF's from outside agents who have added text to the documents with vital business information. When we try to print the Document with Markups in Adobe Reader 6, 7, 8 or Adobe Pro 6 or 7 they don’t always print with the comments. When WE edit the documents we can print the comments without issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My Product Information:
Reader 7.0.9, Windows

Hi houserahl,

There is a registry setting that you can modify to change this behavior. Check out this link to the Adobe.com Reader forum at: http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc46f5b for more detail.

I have added the reg key however it still won't print. I see no change at all in the adobe reader settings or in how the items print with this registry key. I have sent this PDF to other people I know outside of my company to see if they could print the comments and they too can not print them. Any other suggestions...?

I can take the Snapshot Tool and take the snap picture of the PDF and paste into MS Word to print it. This is a tedious work around. Is there another way to Flatten the image so that it prints correctly.

Well, you can flatten the annotations in Acrobat Pro. using the preflight tools Advanced --> Preflight. Click the PDF fixups profile and then select Flatten Annotation. However, I do recommend that you make a copy of the PDF first because once the annotations are flattened you cannot restore them.

I have a little differerent problem: I'm using Acrobat 7.0 Standard on a Windows machine... and I'm a novice user. I'm able to print comments but they're not appearing on the printed document like they do on-screen. On-screen I have the notes positioned where I want, but when I print the file they're appearing somewhere else. Can I control where the comments are positioned on the printed file?

Can you post an example? Acrobat.com has a free service for posting files.
