Printing - images print white on black

I converted a Quark document with embedded TIFFs to PDF. When I print on a Xerox printer the TIFFs turn black with white font. On some printers the TIFFs come out fine. Any ideas why this is happening?

In the Advanced Print dialog, make sure that Acrobat default is selected from the Settings pull-down menu.
