I would like to know how I can make a PDF file that I can control how many times it can be printed.
For example. If I gave a file to a person and only wanted them to use it once and not send it to everybody. I would like to know if it is possible for me to set the number of times the file can be printed.

Please send me the answer in an email. I would like to know if this is possible which version of PDF do I need to do what I am asking.

Thank you!

Hi Tim,

The only way to do this is with a DRM ( Document Rights Management) system, it is not possible to do it with Acrobat alone.

You may want to check out the new Adobe Document Center which is an on-line service that lets you apply DRM features to any PDF, and it is FREE through June 2007 as a trial. It uses Adobe LiveCycle Policy Server technology, which purchased alone costs the BIG bucks, so this service is pretty cool.

Correction for previous post- it is Digital Rights Management, not Document Rights Management.
