Printing PDF from InDesign - no filename

Not sure if the subject is enough to explain what is happening.

I have Acrobat 8 Pro and Indesign CS3.

I print from Indesign and change the printer in the Print Dialog box to Adobe PDF 8.0. It used to ask me for a file name and where to save the file. However, it has recently not doing that and just saving the file on the desktop named as the file I am working on.

I don't know of anything that I have changed/updated recently that would have caused this.

Any ideas on what I could check?

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

you can try the following (based on the assumption, that the PDF printer is broken):

1) delete the printer "Adobe PDF 8.0"
2) Start Acrobat and choose "Repair Acrobat Installation" you find in the Help-menu

Now give it another try.

Another thought: have you changed to an intel based Mac? Only Adobe PDF 9.0 is supported on that platfrom.
