Printing to PDF from Powerpoint

I am currently using Acrobat Professional 8 with PowerPoint 2000 SP-3 on Microsoft Office 2000. The problem happens when printing from Powerpoint to the Adobe PDF driver and only occurs when printing to sizes larger than ~17”x24". The content in the pdf file that is generated becomes distorted and inaccurate with text wrapping very unusually and out of place. Images and boxes size randomly and not proportionally. The layout is completely changed from the original PowerPoint file and gives the appearance of being crunched into the top left hand corner. I have tried changing various settings in PowerPoint, Acrobat and even the Acrobat PDF driver with no luck. This did not happen with Acrobat Professional 7. Help!!

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8, Windows

I've noticed some unusual behavior when trying to print PowerPoint files to PDF at oversized page sizes. I'm not sure exactly what goes on with the Printer Drivers, but some work much better than others.

If you have a device driver, you might try using that to print to sizes for your oversized printer. As a workaround, you can print to the largest acceptable size and then drop the PDF in InDesign or rasterize it in Photoshop. In either InDesign or Photoshop you can increase the output size to print to custom page sizes.

Type and vector art will print fine. If raster images are used in the PowerPoint file, you need to be concerned about having enough resolution for printing at sizes greater than 100% of the original file size.
