I have just installed Adobe Reader 8 and I use Internet Explorer 7 with Windows XP SP2.

When I click the Print button of a PDF file, the print dialog opens but the window is not modal. If I click outside the print dialog, the print dialog hides behind all other windows.

The print dialog was modal in version Adobe Reader 7.
The print dialog is modal in standalone Adobe Reader 8.

That is correct and a designed change.

Do make sure, however, that you are up to date with 8.1.1.

So if you click outside the print dialog, you have to use Alt-Tab to go back to the print dialog ?

My users sometimes doesn't have the rights to use Alt-tab. What can I do about this ?
