Printing Problems Acrobat Reader 9.1 / Vista

Good morning,

I cannot print .pdf forms, either from a website, or saved on my hard drive, to my HP J5780. The printer is ok as it will print everything else. I have no issues seeing the files, and they show up in Print Preview. I have tried printing as image to no avail. The printer sounds like the ink cartridge carriage is indexing and getting ready to print, then it stops. There is no error message.

Any suggestions? I apologize if this question has been asked and solved before.

Do other PDF documents print fine or just this one?

I have tried original pdf docs, and files created by freeware print as pdf creators. I have saved files to my hard drives and tried to print later. I have restarted my PC and unplugged the printer from the power source for memory erasure. The printers log in Control Panel show nothing, and the documents I am attempting to print show that printing is allowed in the security box.

I'm mostly a MacOS guy, but have run across this even on the Mac. Sometimes things just don't want to print! But if I take a problem document and try a different PDF reader then it usually prints fine.

I think your problem sounds more like a print driver issue. Have you checked the HP web site forums for any issues printing PDF's to your HP?

Sorry I'm not much help here!

PPGreek,

I just posed the same questions to the HP forum. Thank you for your time.
