Hi - I have a 40 page pdf, each page is 8.5x11. My client would like a printed version that has,
for example, page 5 and 6 printed next to each other on one 11x17 page. The graphics on the
edges of the pages line up in Adobe InDesign, so they need to print without any space
between them on the paper. Is this possible? Thank you for any suggestions...

use photoshop (elements okay) to construct the 11x17.

I originally created it in Photoshop, though the file size was enormous, both the psd, and the output pdf.

experiment with 'reduce file size' (document menu) and 'PDF optimizer' (advanced menu)

Plus, photoshop doesnt have vector graphics so the text isnt sharp. My first post was probably convoluted, all I really need to know, is how to arrange pages in a pdf so that two individual pages can print next to each other, with no space in between.

create a new 11x17 PDF from blank page. but first, set the new document default size to tabloid landscape (preferences > category: new document). Then use touchup object tool to copy paste from each of the two 8.5x11 pages to the 11x17.

Easier way is to select print first. Go into properties and select "Landscape and "Tabloid" or "11x17".

Then, under "Page Scaling", select "Multiple Pages Per Sheet". You might have to change "Pages per Sheet" to Custom.
