Right Click + Print Problems

I support a new billing/invoicing system. The system generates .pdf's from Microsoft's SSRS. This system generates the .pdf's and ultimately will print them automatically, but for the time being the output needs to be reviewed for accuracy.

So, the current process has the users highlighting batches of .pdf's and right click + print'ing them. When this method is used with a new post script printer it appears the top and bottom margins are lost and the output no longer lines up with the pre-printed invoice stock.

However, if you open Acrobat Reader all the way and print the .pdf from inside an open window,,,,prints just dandy.

Any idea as to what is causing this? I've searched through the printing forum and read tons, but haven't come across anything quite like this.

Any guidance/thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Byron

What OS are you running? What point version of Reader?

Most people are on xp, but will be changing to Vista with the next 6 months or so. The testing that took place last wee was from a Vista machine with Reader 8.1.

64-bit version of XP or 32?

Does the problem occur if you change the default printer to Adobe PDF prior to right-clicking on the files?

I have the same problem, if I open the document and do a print - everything is ok, but if I simply do a right click on the pdf file and select print, I lost portion of the left margin

Just to clarify, are you printing a PDF or Converting to PDF with the right-click menu?

Try updating to the latest point version of Acrobat/Reader and then running the Repair Installation command from under the Help menu.
